 Open to junior high and high school students from schools throughout San Diego County, Mind Your Own... offers teens direct input into the process of Museum programming as well as the opportunity to respond to exhibitions and programs. As in all of the Museum’s educational programming, access to artists and the opportunity to work alongside the artists is a central feature of this program. Mind Your Own... is a self-directed and defined program, projects and involvement are defined at the discretion of the group.
Currently, NCM’s Teen Advisory Council meets bi-monthly to discuss and work on a variety of projects including:
- Updating their website and social networking sites
- Documenting NCM events, exhibitions and community activities through interviews, photographs, and podcasts
- Raising awareness about Teen Studio artists and exhibitions
- Teen Council is responsible for letting their peers in San Diego know that NCM is not just for kids!
