The New Children's Museum offers tours for schools and non-profit organizations ranging from pre-kindergarten to high school, and beyond. In addition to your tour, you can choose to participate in a hands-on studio art project, led by our trained artists!
Did you know the average American produces 4.5 pounds of waste a day? Trash is an invisible but important issue. From Layer's 34-foot, three-horned beast to Jason Rogenes' cardboard Fortress of Solitude, groups will be astounded by each artist's imagination. Click here to learn more about TRASH.
All school and group visits to The New Children’s Museum are:
- Participatory, hands-on experiences that encourage inquiry-based learning from original artworks.
- Designed to have interdisciplinary applications in the classroom in areas like visual arts, reading, writing, social studies, and science.
- Interactive engagement with original artworks, loads of activities in the Museum’s gallery space, and ample time to think, play and create!
- Grade level age-appropriate and standards aligned.
School and group visits are designed for groups of 10 to 60 students. Visits are offered every day except Tuesday from 10am–11:30am or 11:30am–1pm. Sessions after 1pm may be available upon request.
