What is the Dress Code?
Who is YOUR inner party animal? Are you loving Lady Gaga? Bent on being Michael Buble? What best describes your rock star style? Disco Fever? Headbanger’s Ball? New Wave Nation? Grunge or Indie? Whatever rockin’ era you’re into, we’re celebrating it. You don’t need to wear a costume, just dress in a way that makes you feel extraordinary. We’ve set the stage for all party animals--crooners to divas, rappers to rockers.
Where can I park?
VIP guests. Complimentary valet parking is available for VIP dinner guests on Island Avenue between First and Front Street. After the concert, hop onto the luxury transport to the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. The VIP shuttle will run between NCM and the Hard Rock between 10pm and midnight. The NCM valet will close promptly at 1:30am.
Dinner guests. Complimentary valet parking is available for dinner guests on Island Avenue between First and Front Street. After the concert, get some fresh air and walk the promenade or pick up your car at the valet and meet us at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. The NCM valet will close promptly at 1:30am.
Concert guests. Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood and there are numerous public parking lots in the vicinity of the Museum and Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. After the concert at NCM walk the short distance to the After-Party on the promenade.
Going to the After-Party? Park at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego! If you plan to attend the After-Party, we recommend you start your night at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. Party Animals! guests are given the special parking rate of $20, just mention that you are here for the party!

What is the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego After-Party?
Join the other party animals at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego for the Museum’s wildest after-party ever. Following the concert by Third Eye Blind, all VIPs, Rock Stars, and Groupies & After Partiers are invited to NCM’s favorite after-hours neighbor for signature cocktails, sliders, gourmet grilled cheese, the Sugar High dessert bar, and San Diego’s indie-rock favorite Get Back Loretta.
What is a Golden Ticket?
A Golden Ticket is your opportunity to win a select auction prize for as little as $100! Only 300 Golden Tickets will be sold, with the winning ticket drawn the night of the event. A five-pack of Golden Tickets can be purchased for the special price of $400. You can purchase Golden Tickets in person at the Museum before the event, via your invitation, or at the event on the night of Party Animals!
You can select EITHER one piece of jewelry donated from XIV Karats, or the Sportsman auction package. Both packages are valued between $5,000-$7,000.
You do not need to be present to win, but you must designate your selection when you purchase. Night of purchasers do not need to select in advance since the winner will be invited to make their selection on stage.
How can I purchase Golden Tickets?
Come to the Museum in person before the event. The Welcome Desk will be selling golden tickets beginning on July 1, 2010. Or if you prefer, purchase them through your invitation, or at the event on the night of Party Animals! Please note, Golden Tickets are not available for purchase online.
Can I buy Golden Tickets the night of the event?
Yes! There will be tickets available for purchase on site, in singles or in packs of five for the special price of $400.
What is a VIP?
A Party Animal! VIP receives special benefits and access throughout the evening. You can secure your VIP status for dinner AND the after-party (“VIP All Access Backstage Pass”), or just the after-party (“Band Groupie/After-Partier VIP”).
How do I become a VIP and get the red carpet treatment?
For the seated dinner, you can purchase a VIP All Access Backstage Pass Table for 10 ($10,000), a Table for 6 ($6,000) or two tickets for $2,000. You’ll receive preferred seating, unique artist experiences, an exclusive dinner menu, luxury transportation to the after-party, a personal concierge to attend to your rock star demands, and green room access with Third Eye Blind. Green Room access with Third Eye Blind at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is limited to the first 30 VIPs.
What is a Rock Star?
At Party Animals! the Rock Stars start the party at 5:30pm with cocktails and entertainment, then dine under the stars before live concert by Third Eye Blind. They are treated to a decadent meat-free menu that celebrates the region’s local bounty, and have the opportunity to bid on live auction items such as: New York Fashion Week, Instant Art Collection, and Little Palm Island. Rock Stars don’t stop the party there—they continue on to the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego after-party for more fabulous fun and a concert from local indie fave Get Back Loretta.
What is a Band Groupie & After Partier?
Band Groupies & After Partiers join the gala beginning at 8:00pm for hosted cocktails and the Third Eye Blind Concert on Island Avenue. After the live performance, Band Groupies & After Partiers keep it going at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego where they are treated to signature cocktails, sliders, gourmet grilled cheese, the Sugar High dessert bar, and San Diego’s indie-rock favorite Get Back Loretta.
I already bought a Rock Star table for $5,000, can I upgrade to VIP?
YES! For another $5,000 you can upgrade your Rock Star Table to VIP All Access Backstage Pass status. You’ll receive preferred seating, unique artist experiences, an exclusive dinner menu, luxury transportation to the after-party, a personal concierge to attend to your rock star demands, and green room access with Third Eye Blind. Green Room access with Third Eye Blind at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is limited to the first 30 VIPs.
Can I upgrade my status and become a VIP for the after-party?
Yes! If you did not purchase a VIP table for dinner, you can secure your VIP status for the after-party! Packages are available for 4 @ $1,200 which include luxury transportation to the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, reserved after-party seating, and bottle service. If you already have the VIP All Access Backstage Pass, you maintain your red carpet status through the night!
Single VIP after-party tickets are not available for purchase—they are sold only in sets of four to ensure preferred seating at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.

How early can Band Groupie & After Partier guests arrive for Third Eye Blind?
8pm is the official after-party start time, and it begins at The New Children’s Museum.
Access to the “Green Room” means partying with Third Eye Blind in their private lounge area at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. This opportunity is limited to the first 30 people to purchase tables or tickets at the VIP All Access Backstage Pass level.

Do the concert goers have reserved seating?
General seating for Third Eye Blind is available for all Band Groupie & After Partier guests. VIP guests will receive preferred seating for Get Back Loretta at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.
What time is cocktail hour for all of us Rock Stars?
5:30-7pm—And it’s so much more than cocktails! Roam the wilds of the Animal Art exhibition, experience unique artist performances, explore the Golden Ticket opportunities, and participate in the evenings’ activities.
When is dinner served?
I have a food allergy and/or special dietary restrictions. What can you do for me?
When you register online, there is a comment box where you can tell us about your food allergies or specific dietary requirements. Once we receive this information, you will be contacted personally by a staff member to discuss food options with you. Then we will work directly with the chef to create a meal that meets your expectations. Or you can call us direct at 619 233 8792 x108 and we will be happy to assist you.
We have tickets for the dinner—can I tell you who we want to sit with?
Tables are sold in lots of 6 or 10. If you are putting together your own table, please identify who your guests are, to ensure you are all seated together. If you are buying less than 6 tickets, we will consider each order as a “set” and do our best to accommodate additional seating requests.
Is the auction all live or is there a silent auction as well?
The night of the event offers a live auction and the Golden Ticket opportunity.
Can I buy buy event tickets at the Museum or only online?
Event tickets may be purchased online or in person at the Museum during regular business hours.

What time does the Third Eye Blind concert start? What time does it end?
Third Eye Blind begins at 8:30pm. The concert ends at 10pm.
When does Get Back Loretta start? How late does the after-party go?
The after-party is from 10pm to 1am. Get Back Loretta will begin at 10:45pm.
Are there any age restrictions to the event(s)?
Yes, we require all guests to be age 21 or older.
